Beer Gut Review is Brandon Hart, Randy Arnold, and Jeff Nichols. We met at Iowa State University and have been friends ever since. One of us is a scientist, another is a toolmaker and the other is a businessman (we'll let you figure out which is which). Clearly then, we have no expertise in the field of literature. What we do have is a love for books...and beer.

In the Fall of 2006 we got together and created our first podcast with very little money and very low production value. The idea was simple--have 2 guys (Brandon and Jeff) discuss music while drinking some beers, Diggnation style. Randy was behind the camera. We called it Beer Gut Tune Review. We did that for about a year before calling it quits.

About a year after BGTR came to an end we got back together with a resolve to improve the quality of the show and potentially discuss books instead of music. We got a better camera, microphone, some homemade studio lights, created a "studio" to film in, and set up a green screen. Thus, Beer Gut Book Review was born! We hope you enjoy it and will tell your friends to watch!
